Mechanical Tips

Tire tip

Check your air pressure before every ride (especially you roadies).  Also be sure to inspect the surface and sidewalls of the tire for potential threats.  You may not have a flat now, but if you don't pull out the shard of glass that's starting to bed into your tire, you'll have a flat in no time.  Remember: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Wash your bike with water?

Many customers ask us if it is alright to wash their bike with water.  Absolutely yes.  However, do not use a power washer, heavy degreasers, carburetor cleaner, brake cleaner, or other harsh chemicals.  A garden hose works fine.  We sell a product for washing bikes and it does wonders.  Spray it on, rinse and Ride.

Consider this:  You sweat (nasty mineral laced salt water) all over your sweet bike and then park it.  Have you ever seen what salt water does to metal???

It EATS IT.  Wash Your bike.
